This year, I am hosting several Spanish 1 courses. All courses meet the ACTFL (American Council for Teaching Foreign Languages) standards of a Spanish 1 course. The expectation is that students will be actively engaged in learning Spanish for 125 - 150 hours per year. This, along with reaching a novice-mid level of proficiency, is the expectation for a high school foreign language credit and our goal in the courses offered below.
